About Our Project

The aim of this project is to create a coherent live performance mediated with digital components accessible for the live audience. The implementation included hardwares such as Mac and Windows, the Oculus Quest, a Green Screen, Video Cameras, and different lighting systems. On the other hand, the digital softwares which were used revolve around Unreal Engine 4, Qlab, OBS, and video editing software such Adobe Premiere Pro/Final Cut. The project focused on the combination of these hardware and software allowing the execution of the project. However, the latter caused difficulties with rendering and compiling, leading to a better understanding of technological limitations. Subsequently, the project was adapted to a cinematic execution, resolving the time issues caused by the computing of the virtual environment in real time. The further development requires more robust software to be able to produce live projections on stage.
